This week we are changing it up a bit!
There’s no space for us at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, so…..
We’re going to have a service and dessert at the Jus Juiced & Bean Caffe at 2106 Harvey Ave.
Yes that’s right, the same place that we have our Cafe Connex. We’re starting at 7:00pm and it would be great to have you there.
Oh yeah… we’re going to be watching the video “Phil Pringle - The Journey of the Cross in Art”.
You’re gonna love it!!

And not what you do.
How will they Love the House of God?
If you love the House of God
If you serve the vision of the House of God.

If you commit to one man, or woman, and church
You demonstrate being tenacious, committed, and long suffering. Be a long distant runner and NOT a sprinter. Remember it is Not about how you start, but your ability to keep on keeping on and finishing GREAT! There will definitely come a time when your kids
Will ask themselves what they could do that would have you
Give up on them.
Let the answer be NOTHING.
Teach them that to be Great in the Kingdom of God
You must be the servant of all.
Serve whenever you can, bring them along, expect them to be Participants and not observers. You can never increase in the capacity of your spirit
If you exclude the ability to discipline yourself in church attendance. So …
Never say you need to take a break and step back from church involvement Don’t have a family day that means NOT going to church Never make church a punishment that is required or denied Go to church when you don’t feel well And let God be the healer of your life and family…………..
Father’s Day ‘08
14 June 2008
At Father’s Day we take time to remember our fathers and everything they have done and contributed to our lives. But not all memories of fatherly experiences are positive. Sadly, many of us may have experienced the neglect, physically or emotionally, of a father that didn’t really know how to be a father.
In life today, the “necessity” of fatherhood is being questioned with frightening frequency. Do we really need a father in our lives in order to develop into fully rounded mature individuals? Increasing numbers of people are considering the question.
While in some nations, nearly 50% of children grow up in fatherless homes, the need for a father is not simply a biological requirement. Understanding that situations occur where a father is absent does not mean he is unnecessary.
This Father’s Day we want to celebrate and encourage RealMen and RealFathers. I think it’s time that fathers were encouraged to rise up and fulfill their much needed role. Fathers are important to the life and fabric of our society not a biological add-on.
On June 15th we are honouring Fathers at Christian City Church. We are going to encourage them, bless them, and pray for them.
If you know someone who is a father and could really use some encouragement, or just needs to be honoured, invite them to come. Better yet, bring them with you. This is going to be a weekend to remember.

What If Your World Changed Tomorrow?
15 April 2008

Do you ever wonder what it would be like if your world changed tomorrow? I mean totally changed. As in won the lottery or lost your job… or… uhm… nine eleven?
No, I’m not trying to be a pessimist or negative in any way. I’m just wondering if we have any plan for the unexpected.
What would keep you secure?
How would you keep it together?
Is there something in your life that grounds you even when life around you changes drastically? What can you count on if everything else changes?
Just thinking… I know my answer… what is your’s?
What is life without hope?
9 April 2008
If you had no hope, why would you get up in the morning? I mean really, what motivates someone who has nothing to hope for?
If you couldn’t hope for a better future, or a word of encouragement. What if you had no hope of finding a job, or finding a place to live? What would you do?
I’m sure there are thousands, maybe millions of people who have found hope even in circumstances that we would normally think were… well… hopeless! How is that possible?
The bible is pretty clear that when it comes to this subject, there are three important things: faith, hope and love. Probably the three most important ingredients in a life worth living. A life that has some point.
So…. what do you hope for? Or maybe I should ask, what gives you hope? Let’s talk about it. Leave a comment below to begin the conversation.
